The Maricopa County Events Center is a 7,034-seat facility located in the heart
of Sun City West serving the entire Phoenix metropolitan area. With an eye to the
comfort of both audience and performer, the Events Center's unique design makes
it the largest single level performing arts theater in the world.
Nederlander Concerts took over management of the venue in 2006 and has played host
to an exciting variety of live entertainment including national Broadway touring
productions and renowned musical headliners. The venue also is home to high school
and college graduations, dance recitals and sporting events, motivational seminars
and civic events.

The Northwest Valley location of the Maricopa County Events Center provides a huge
local audience pool. 2.2 million people live within 20 miles of the MCEC… and the
west side is growing fast!
The 14 cities of the West Valley are a diverse group:
- Sun City, Sun City West & Youngtown originally formed the core neighborhood
for the venue when it opened in 1980 and now contain 80,000 affluent, active retirees
- Several well-established cities in the area (Avondale, El Mirage, Tolleson) are
primarily Hispanic families with deep roots in the area.
- The next wave of cities was established by mid-life families looking for affordable
homes in affluent neighborhoods like Surprise, Litchfield Park and the Arrowhead
Town Centre.
- The newest wave is young families looking for affordable homes in one of the few
areas the city can continue to grow into.

to provide maximum flexibility for your event.

The Events Center Auditorium is the largest single-level performing arts space in
the world. The 7,034-seat auditorium is configured in a continental seating style
featuring comfortable 40-inch deep rows ringing a 60 feet wide x 40 feet deep proscenium
thrust stage.
A 5,700 square foot dance floor may be created in front of the stage by taking the
first 10 rows of portable seating out. The space comfortably fits 30 72" rounds
or space for up to 500 couples to dance. This space has also been used for judges
tables and exhibition space.

The spacious, light-filled 9,000 square foot lobby area can seat 500 for dinner
or accommodate 1,800 in a cocktail configuration.
Alternatively, a portion of the lobby can be curtained off for a private party before,
during or after a public event or concert.

Shaded awnings, a beautiful central fountain and mature landscaping make the 7,500
square foot outdoor courtyard a unique space for informal outdoor gatherings.

The Maricopa County Events Center's sizeable parking lot is the perfect venue for
hosting entertainment attractions and fun events. From tent parties or
roaming events for up to 5,000 guests, receptions to company cookouts, we take care
of them all.

The Maricopa County Events Center facility and staff make your event turnkey from
start to finish.
- Our production manager has more than 20 years of experience in the industry and
has been with the venue since it opened.
- In-house production equipment includes:
- Two 15' x 20' retractable Video Matte screens on either side of the stage enable
all-audience viewing of the speaker, PowerPoint presentations or video footage.
- A computerized lighting system and three follow-spot positions which may be augmented
by custom lighting designs.
- A front-row center audio experience is guaranteed through EAW, Crown and Yamaha
sound systems fed through speaker clusters above the stage and above the center
cross-aisle combined with intelligent venue design.

- Our marketing director has been promoting entertainment for nearly two decades and
is available as a resource for your event.
- Assistance is available to publicize your event, including:
- Custom email blasts to the MCEC and Ticketmaster databases
- Inclusion on this website
- Inside and outside signage opportunities
- Distribution of press releases to local TV, radio and newspaper contacts
- Flyer and poster distribution through local channels
- Advice on media buys and promotions as needed

- The MCEC Box Office is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm and offers
a point of distribution with no service charge.
